Rawalpindi Athletes Win 21 Medals at Pak-China Friendship  Games 2026

Rawalpindi athletes at Pak-China Friendship Games delivered a performance by winning 21
medals in several sporting events. Their medal tally included five gold medals, six silver medals
and 10 bronze medals for the division.

Commissioner Rawalpindi Salman Ghani praised the athletes for the achievement and said their
success showed dedication, hard training and strong sportsmanship. He also appreciated their
efforts.

Ghani said the regional administration was giving greater attention to sports facilities and youth
engagement. He said healthy sports can help young people build confidence and skills.

The commissioner linked these efforts with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision
for a healthier province. He said supporting young athletes can create positive opportunities.

The men’s badminton team secured first position and won a gold medal for Rawalpindi Division.
Amna Aqeel and Bushra Arshad also won gold medals in women’s athletics at the Games.

Muhammad Arshad and Mosab Shafi secured gold medals in men’s Wushu and strengthened
Rawalpindi’s medal performance. Their victories completed the division’s five gold medals.

The women’s volleyball team won a silver medal at the Games. Fatima Aqeel and Mehwish
Karim secured silver medals in women’s athletics, while Allah Dita won silver in men’s athletics.
Muhammad Faheem and Muhammad Hussain added two more silver medals through their
performances in men’s Wushu. Their results strengthened Rawalpindi’s medal tally.

Several athletes also won bronze medals for the division. Pakiza Amjad and Amna Khan
secured bronze in women’s athletics, while Abdul Wasey won bronze in men’s athletics.

Rida Fatima, Azka Noor, Momina Irshad and Urwa Maheen won bronze medals in women’s
Wushu. Arham Abbasi, Shoaib Malik and Ibadat Anwar also secured bronze medals in their
respective events.

The overall results highlighted Rawalpindi’s sporting talent and showed the value of continued
support. Officials praised the athletes and encouraged young people to participate.
