The Bahrain Foreign Minister meets Asim Munir at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi to
discuss defence cooperation and regional security. Dr. Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani met Field
Marshal Syed Asim Munir during his official visit to Pakistan. The meeting took place on
Thursday and focused on matters important to both Pakistan and Bahrain. Both sides discussed
the regional security situation and reviewed their existing defence and security cooperation.
Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the long and friendly relationship between Pakistan and
Bahrain. He said the relationship is built on shared values and mutual respect between the two
countries. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to making defence cooperation with
Bahrain stronger in the future. The discussion showed the importance both countries place on
maintaining close relations and regular communication. The meeting also came during a wider
Pakistani engagement with Bahrain on several areas of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Zayani praised the professionalism and operational readiness of
Pakistan’s Armed Forces. He also recognised Pakistan’s contribution towards supporting peace
and stability in the region. The Bahraini minister expressed his country’s desire to further
improve cooperation with Pakistan. Both sides showed interest in developing stronger defence
and security ties between their countries. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange
