Jessica Chastain and Jeremy Strong have shared a funny moment after a headline
compared the box office performance of their latest films. Chastain posted their humorous text
conversation on her Instagram Story, allowing fans to see the playful side of their friendship. The
exchange began when Strong sent her a headline about their movies.

According to the supplied report, Chastain’s horror film Other Mommy earned $45.2 million
worldwide during its opening weekend. In comparison, Strong’s drama The Social Reckoning
reportedly earned $9 million worldwide. The difference between the reported figures attracted
attention and gave Strong an opportunity to joke with his longtime friend.

Strong sent Chastain a screenshot of an article titled “Other Mommy Spanks The Social
Reckoning at the Box Office.” The headline featured photographs of both actors in their movie
roles. Strong added a middle-finger emoji and a kissing emoji, making the message part of their
lighthearted conversation.

Chastain responded by saying “Omg” and describing the pictures as hilarious. Strong agreed
that the comparison was funny. Chastain then teased him by saying he looked “SO SAD” in his
photograph. Strong returned the joke by telling her that she looked “INSANE” in her own picture.
Their conversation showed the comfortable friendship they share outside their professional
work. The two actors reportedly met more than twenty years ago while building their careers in
the entertainment industry. Their connection has continued over the years, and they have also
worked together on three major projects.

Their current films tell very different stories. Other Mommy is a supernatural horror movie about
a family facing a frightening creature that pretends to be a young girl’s mother. Meanwhile, The
Social Reckoning is a biographical drama directed by Aaron Sorkin.

The drama explores Facebook whistleblower disclosures reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Strong portrays Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg in the film. Their funny exchange has added an
entertaining moment to the discussion surrounding both movies and their reported box office
results.
