The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will promote its PCB Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
on October 25 during the Pakistan-England One Day International (ODI) match at Gaddafi
Stadium in Lahore. The initiative aims to spread awareness and encourage women to seek
early screening and medical care.

The match is part of a tri-nation series involving Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka. The PCB
plans to use cricket’s popularity to deliver an important health message to fans across the
country.

As part of the Pink Ribbon campaign, Pakistan’s cricket team will wear specially designed pink
kits during the match. England’s players, match officials and commentators will also be invited to
wear pink ribbons to support the cause.

The stadium will feature pink stumps, while screens and LED boards will display messages
about breast cancer awareness. Special activities will begin two hours before the match, giving
fans an opportunity to learn more about early detection and treatment.

Pakistani cricketers will also share video messages explaining why early diagnosis matters.
These messages will encourage women to pay attention to their health and consult medical
professionals when they notice unusual changes.

The PCB has introduced special pink shirts for the campaign, which will be available from
October 19. Fans can purchase these shirts at the PCB merchandise shop at Gaddafi Stadium
or through online sales.

The Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Trust Hospital in Lahore will offer free screening services to
cricket fans on October 24 and October 26. This initiative aims to help people understand the
importance of regular screening and timely medical advice.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed Syed said cricket could help spread awareness
and encourage early treatment. PCB Director Commercial Ali Adnan Zaidi urged fans to share
the message of screening with their families and communities.

Pink Ribbon Pakistan Chief Executive Officer Umar Aftab said the campaign would also help
raise awareness and support treatment for women who cannot afford medical care.

Through this initiative, the PCB hopes to turn a major sporting event into an opportunity to
educate people and encourage women to take care of their health.
