Iran Proposes Five-Year Tourism Roadmap with Pakistan

The Iran Pakistan tourism cooperation plan has gained attention after Iran proposed a
five-year roadmap for stronger cultural and tourism relations. Iranian Minister of Cultural
Heritage Tourism and Handicrafts Reza Salehi Amiri made the proposal during a meeting with
Pakistani Ambassador Imran Ahmed Siddiqui in Tehran. The officials discussed ways to
strengthen cultural historical and tourism ties between the neighboring countries. Salehi Amiri
said political and economic relations could become deeper when supported by the long history
and cultural connections shared by both peoples.

The Iranian minister said both countries should move beyond short-term arrangements and
focus on practical cooperation through long-term planning. He proposed a five-year strategic
roadmap covering culture and tourism with clear steps for future implementation. Salehi Amiri
said the plan should help people in both countries understand each other’s cultural and
civilizational heritage. He noted that Pakistan has strong interest in cultural, religious and
tourism activities connected with Iran. He also said Iran has many attractions that could be
introduced to visitors.

It could support cultural programs that introduce historical sites traditions and tourism
destinations to wider audiences. The meeting took place in Tehran and highlighted the
importance of practical cooperation between the neighboring nations. The Pakistani
ambassador also called for stronger links among institutions provinces and cultural
organizations. He supported turning existing agreements into practical steps that could increase
travel and people-to-people contacts.

The proposed roadmap could provide a longer-term framework for joint cultural and tourism
activities. It may help both countries promote their attractions while creating better
