A son arrested in a Lahore case was reported after police detained a man accused of
allegedly killing his 80-year-old mother in Nawab Town. The victim was identified as Salma Latif
and police said the alleged killing was linked to a dispute over property. According to police, the
suspect attacked his elderly mother with a sharp-edged weapon during the dispute. The incident
reportedly took place in the Nawab Town area of Lahore before the suspect fled from the scene.
Police began an investigation after receiving information about the alleged killing and started
efforts to trace the suspect. The case involved an elderly woman who reportedly died following
the alleged attack inside the area. Police later succeeded in tracing and arresting the suspect
with the help of modern technology and human intelligence. Officials said the suspect is now
being questioned as investigators work to establish the complete circumstances surrounding the
incident.

According to police, the arrest followed an investigation carried out by Lahore Investigation
Police after senior officials took notice of the case. DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza
directed officers to locate the suspect and take legal action according to the law. A special police
team was formed under the supervision of SP Investigation Sardar Abdullah Imran Cheema to
investigate the case. Inspector Muhammad Qasim who serves as Investigation In-charge at
Nawab Town Police Station led the operation to trace the suspect. Police said modern
technology and human intelligence helped them locate and arrest the accused. According to the
reported police statement, the suspect allegedly told investigators during initial questioning that
the killing was connected to a property dispute. Police are continuing to collect evidence and
examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder. Further legal action will depend on
the evidence collected during the investigation and the findings of authorities.
