The Lahore Anti-Polio Campaign 2026 has made strong progress, with more than 2.2 million
children receiving protective polio drops. The campaign continued across Lahore with
vaccination teams visiting homes and reaching children under five years old. According to
Lahore News, 2,252,978 children had received polio drops against the target of 2,285,477
children. Health teams also provided vaccination coverage to more than 1.57 million households
during the campaign. Officials said special attention was being given to children who were not
present when teams visited their homes. During the first catch-up day, 69,142 previously absent
children received polio drops. Teams were also instructed to reach the remaining 97,142
children who had not yet received vaccination. Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali
Ejaz directed officials to ensure that every eligible child received the vaccine. He also stressed
that newborn babies and children from families agreeing to vaccination should receive the drops
without delay.

The campaign has now moved into its catch-up phase, which focuses on children who missed
