The DIG Operations Faisal Kamran held an important crime prevention meeting in Lahore’s
Saddar Division on September 27, 2026. The meeting focused on controlling theft, mobile
phone theft, snatching, fraud, drug supply, and other crimes affecting citizens. SSP Operations,
SP Saddar, circle officers, and Station House Officers attended the meeting. Faisal Kamran
directed police officers to remain active in their areas and take practical steps to control criminal
activities. He said that beggars and drug-addicted criminal elements can contribute to
theft-related incidents in different areas. Police officers were therefore instructed to closely
monitor such activities and take action according to the law. The DIG also emphasized the need
for better coordination between senior officers and field teams. He directed police officials to use
all available resources for maintaining peace and improving public safety across Lahore.

Faisal Kamran issued specific instructions to officers responsible for different police stations
during the meeting. He directed the SHO Raiwind to take effective measures for controlling
crime and improving security in the area. The SHOs of Sattokatla and Chung were instructed
to control incidents involving fraud and snatching. The SHO Nawab Town was directed to
complete pending investigations and resolve cases as quickly as possible. The DIG also
ordered police officers to strengthen operations against the illegal supply of drugs, particularly
ice or crystal methamphetamine and alcohol. He further instructed officers to tighten the net
around proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals. These directions were aimed at improving
crime control and ensuring that police teams respond effectively to complaints from citizens.
Senior officers were also asked to supervise field performance and ensure that the instructions
issued during the meeting are properly implemented.

The meeting also focused on maintaining law and order and preventing activities that could
create fear among citizens. Faisal Kamran directed police to conduct door-to-door checking
against elements who may become a reason for law-and-order problems. He instructed officers
to take action against people who display weapons publicly and create fear among residents.
Police were also directed to ensure the registration of private employees and tenants according
to applicable requirements. The DIG said violations involving loudspeakers would not be
accepted and instructed officers to take appropriate action against such violations. He
emphasized that all available resources should be used to maintain peace in the city. Police
officials were asked to remain alert and strengthen their presence in areas where crime or public
safety concerns require greater attention. The instructions covered several important areas
including street crime, drug control, weapon displays, tenant registration, and public order.

Another important part of the meeting was the treatment of citizens at police stations across
Lahore. Faisal Kamran directed police officers to treat all citizens with respect and dignity during
their official interactions. He specifically emphasized respectful treatment for women who visit
police stations for complaints or other official matters. The DIG said that citizens should receive
proper attention when they approach police officers for assistance. The meeting also covered
efforts to improve investigations and reduce delays in pending cases. Police officials were
directed to strengthen their performance and respond to crime-related complaints more
effectively. The instructions also included continued action against habitual criminals and
proclaimed offenders. Faisal Kamran emphasized that maintaining peace requires continuous
efforts and effective supervision by police officers. The meeting therefore focused on both crime
prevention and better public dealing, with the aim of improving security and police services for
residents across Lahore.
