LAHORE: A woman from Muslim Nagar, Raiwind, has alleged that she was physically assaulted
during a dispute involving her husband and relatives, after which she lost her pregnancy.

The woman, Iram Shahzadi, said she was around two months pregnant when police and her
cousins came to her home over a dispute involving a vehicle. She alleged that she and her
husband, Gohar Kamran, were beaten during the incident and that she was kicked in the
stomach.

Iram said her health became worse and she was taken to a hospital, where an ultrasound
reportedly confirmed that her pregnancy had been lost. She also alleged that police have not
accepted her complaint. She further said that her husband was taken away by police from
outside the Press Club.

The affected woman has appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab and the Inspector General
of Punjab Police to look into the matter and provide justice. The allegations and circumstances
surrounding the incident require investigation by the relevant authorities.
