Four Suspects Arrested Over Mobile Snatching at Akbar Chowk

The Lahore mobile snatching case has led to the arrest of four suspects after police
investigated a reported robbery in Lahore. The incident took place at Akbar Chowk Flyover
where a citizen lost an iPhone 17 Pro and an Oppo A9 mobile phone. According to the Lahore
Police Operations Wing, the suspects were identified as Mudassar, Maqsood, Ali Raza and
Zeeshan. Police started a technical investigation soon after the reported incident and examined
available evidence to trace those allegedly involved in the robbery.

Investigators reviewed CCTV footage and used backtracking methods to collect important clues
about the incident. During the footage analysis, police reportedly found the role of the victim’s
friend suspicious. Officers questioned the friend and gathered information that helped them
understand the alleged planning behind the robbery. According to the DIG Operations
spokesperson, the victim’s friend identified the suspects during the investigation. Police then
arrested the four suspects and continued questioning them about their alleged involvement in
the incident.

Police said the arrested suspects also disclosed information about other alleged robbery
incidents during questioning. Officers recovered 10 mobile phones and two pistols from the
suspects. A case was registered against them and they were handed over to the Investigation
Wing for further questioning and legal proceedings. Authorities said the investigation remains
underway and additional evidence will be examined before further action is taken.
The incident shows how CCTV footage and technical investigation can help police investigate
street crime more effectively. Police said the investigation continued through evidence collection
and questioning after the robbery was reported. However, the allegations against the arrested
suspects have not been proven in court and remain subject to legal proceedings. Further action
will depend on evidence collected during the investigation and findings of authorities. The case
remains under investigation as police examine recovered items.
