The Apni Chat Apna Ghar project has received international recognition, and the Lahore
Chamber of Commerce and Industry congratulated Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. LCCI
leaders described the recognition as a proud moment for Punjab and Pakistan.
LCCI President Ali Hussam Asghar, Senior Vice President Sardar Usman Ghani and Vice
President Chaudhry Khadim Hussain welcomed the achievement. They said the recognition
showed that people-focused development projects can improve lives and support progress.
The LCCI leadership said successful projects can promote inclusive development, social
well-being and economic empowerment. They also said such initiatives can create opportunities
for businesses linked with construction.
The chamber leaders congratulated Maryam Nawaz and her team for receiving international
attention. They said global recognition can highlight Punjab’s development efforts and present a
positive image of Pakistan.
At LCCI, a delegation from the Plastic Manufacturing Traders Association shared concerns
about difficulties faced by manufacturers. They raised concerns about Environment Department
actions and requested a fair business environment.
The delegation said members of the plastic sector were facing inconvenience because of
department staff. They also maintained that the industry supports plastic waste collection,
recycling and management activities.
LCCI President Ali Hussam Asghar said government measures should be taken after
consultation with LCCI and stakeholders. He said legitimate businesses should not face
unnecessary difficulties.
Asghar also requested Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to review concerns raised by the plastic
manufacturing community. He said better coordination between officials and industry
representatives could help find practical solutions.
Vice President Chaudhry Khadim Hussain supported dialogue and mutual understanding to
address the sector’s concerns. Former LCCI President Sheikh Muhammad Asif also stressed
consultation and constructive consultation.
The meeting brought together business representatives and LCCI officials to discuss their
concerns. The chamber expressed hope that continued cooperation could support businesses
while improving coordination for all stakeholders.
