security operations in which four Indian-sponsored terrorists were reportedly killed in Kalat and

Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to 34-year-old Major Wajahat Waheed, who lost his life in an
improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Pasni. The officer was serving his country when the
tragic incident occurred.

The prime minister said Major Wajahat Waheed had sacrificed his life for the protection of
Pakistan. He added that the nation was proud of the brave officer and his service to the
homeland.

Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deepest condolences to the officer’s family. He prayed that they
would find strength and patience during this painful time. He also prayed for the elevation of the
martyred officer’s ranks in the hereafter.

The prime minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fighting terrorism under the
Apex Committee’s vision of Azm-e-Istehkam. He stated that efforts against foreign-sponsored
terrorism would continue until the threat was completely eliminated.
