The Kot Lakhpat Jail prisoner clash has left one prisoner dead and another seriously injured

according to the FIR registered by police. The FIR says two groups of prisoners became
involved in the confrontation during an argument inside the prison. Muhammad Ashraf and
Falak Sher were reportedly in one group, while three other prisoners formed another group. The
dispute reportedly started over food distribution and the installation of a water pipe. According to
the police report, the situation became serious when sharp objects were allegedly used during
the fight. Muhammad Ashraf and Falak Sher suffered serious injuries during the incident and
received immediate medical assistance. Jail officials first moved both injured prisoners to the jail
hospital for emergency treatment after the fight. They were later shifted to General Hospital
Lahore because their injuries required further medical care.
Muhammad Ashraf later died at General Hospital Lahore while receiving treatment for his
serious injuries, according to officials. Falak Sher remains under treatment at the hospital, while
police continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the prison fight. Police registered a
case at Kot Lakhpat Police Station against three prisoners under relevant legal sections. The
case includes charges related to murder and attempted murder, according to the FIR details

examine what happened inside the prison. A three-member committee has been formed to
investigate the incident and review statements from prisoners and jail staff. Officials said the
committee would identify those responsible after reviewing available evidence and completing
the investigation process. Authorities have also directed officials to provide proper medical
treatment to the injured prisoners. The incident has renewed attention on prisoner safety,
