A Shahdara ASI bribery case has emerged in Lahore after a video allegedly showing ASI
Muhammad Noor receiving money from a citizen became public. The officer was posted at
Shahdara Police Station, and the reported video prompted senior police officials to take
immediate notice. According to the allegation, the citizen claimed that ASI Noor received Rs.
2,000 as a bribe. The money was reportedly demanded in connection with taking action against
a suspect. The video allegedly shows the officer receiving money from the citizen, while
authorities will examine the footage during the investigation. After the video surfaced, DIG
Operations Lahore ordered action against ASI Noor. The officer was placed in the lockup, and a
case was registered against him at Shahdara Police Station. Police registered the case under
FIR No. 4881/26, according to Dunya News. The allegations remain subject to investigation and
legal proceedings.

The DIG Operations has assigned the complete inquiry to SP City, who will investigate the
allegations and examine available evidence. Officials are expected to review the video carefully,
while statements from relevant people may also be recorded during the investigation. The
inquiry will help determine what happened and whether the allegations against the officer are
supported by evidence. Authorities will also examine whether the alleged payment was
connected with the requested police action against a suspect. According to the DIG Operations
spokesperson, further departmental action will be taken if responsibility is established during the
inquiry. The DIG Operations also stated that bribery, misuse of authority, and inappropriate
treatment of citizens would not be tolerated. At present, the allegations against ASI Noor have
not been established as proven facts. The accused remains entitled to due legal process, while
further investigation is expected to clarify the circumstances of the incident and determine any
additional action required.
