Gujjarpura area. According to police, the suspect was identified as Tahir and allegedly called the
child into his shop. Police said he allegedly attracted the girl by offering her something before
the reported incident. The suspect allegedly attempted to sexually assault the child and later
threatened her with serious consequences. The incident reportedly came to light after the girl’s
elder sister noticed that she was distressed. The elder sister asked the child about what had
happened and the family then informed the police. Gujjarpura police began investigating the
complaint and worked to trace the suspect. Police said officers located Tahir in the Jani Pura
area and arrested him. The suspect was later handed over to the Investigation Wing for further
questioning and legal proceedings. City42 reported the arrest on September 29 and confirmed
that police action followed the direction of SP Civil Lines Maniza Karamat.
