The Pakistan Tourism, Sports and Family Festival will begin on November 6 at the Pakistan
Sports Complex in Islamabad. The three-day event will continue until November 8 and aims to
promote tourism, sports, culture and family entertainment across the country.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Tourism Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan announced the festival during
a ceremony at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The announcement followed
the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (ICCI) and the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC). Both
organizations will work together to promote the event and support its successful organization.
The festival will offer several activities for visitors of different ages. These will include
paragliding, rock climbing, tent pegging, a vintage car show and hot air balloons. Visitors will
also enjoy cultural performances, traditional crafts, food stalls and entertainment for families.
Sardar Yasir said promoting tourism was a shared responsibility that could create economic
opportunities and bring positive change. He encouraged all stakeholders to support tourism
initiatives and contribute to a stronger and more prosperous Pakistan.

The adviser expressed hope that approximately 150,000 people would attend the festival. He
said the event could help present Islamabad and Pakistan as attractive destinations for tourism,
sports, culture and investment.

He also emphasized the importance of promoting Pakistan internationally. He suggested
involving Pakistani diplomatic missions abroad to invite international content creators to the
festival. These creators could share Pakistan’s cultural traditions and tourist attractions with
audiences around the world.

Mohammad Zikria Akbar Zia highlighted the connection between tourism and trade. He
explained that festivals, exhibitions and conferences could bring investors, entrepreneurs,
tourists and business communities together while creating new business opportunities.

The festival is expected to provide entertainment for families while showcasing Pakistan’s
cultural diversity and tourism potential. It also aims to encourage investment and improve the
country’s international image as a destination for visitors and business activities.
