ANF Seizes Over 91 Kilograms of Drugs During Eight Nationwide Operations

The ANF drug seizure operation has resulted in the arrest of six suspects and the recovery of
91.24 kilograms of narcotics across Pakistan. The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted eight
operations on Friday to prevent illegal drug distribution and take action against suspected drug
trafficking activities. According to the provided report, the recovered narcotics were valued at
more than Rs 10 million.

During two operations in Karachi, ANF officials recovered 1.2 kilograms of hashish from a
suspect near a university. In another operation near DHA Karachi, officers arrested a suspect
carrying 750 grams of hashish. According to the ANF spokesperson, both suspects reportedly
admitted to selling drugs to students attending educational institutions. These incidents highlight
concerns about the availability of illegal substances near educational facilities.
In Rawalpindi, ANF personnel recovered 66 kilograms of hashish from a vehicle near the
Motorway Toll Plaza. The operation led to the arrest of a suspect, while another 12 kilograms of
hashish were seized from a vehicle near Hyderabad Toll Plaza. These recoveries accounted for
a significant portion of the total narcotics seized during the nationwide campaign.
Near Sialkot, officials stopped a motorcyclist and recovered several types of illegal drugs. The
seized substances included 6.75 kilograms of ice, also known as methamphetamine, alongside
2.4 kilograms of hashish and 190 grams of heroin. In a separate operation near Sargodha Bus
Terminal, officers recovered 1.5 kilograms of hashish and one kilogram of ice from another
suspect.

ANF officials also seized 450 grams of weed from a suspect near GT Road in Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, officers discovered 317 ecstasy tablets weighing approximately 200 grams inside a
submersible water pump at a courier office on Ring Road in Peshawar.
Following the operations, authorities registered cases under the Control of Narcotic Substances
Act (CNSA), 1997. Further investigations are underway to examine the cases and determine
whether other individuals were involved in the suspected activities.
The nationwide operations reflect ongoing efforts to control drug trafficking and protect
communities from harmful substances. Preventing drug sales near educational institutions
remains particularly important for protecting students and raising awareness about the dangers
associated with illegal drugs.
