The CCD police extortion case has raised concern after three officials were accused of
allegedly taking money from two citizens. According to the FIR, the incident happened on the
Sialkot Motorway while the citizens travelled from Gujranwala toward Lahore. Police officials
reportedly stopped their car at a checkpoint for routine checking. The FIR states that officers
found nothing suspicious during the vehicle search. However, the officials allegedly entered the
car and took the citizens away. ASI Tariq and two constables allegedly took them to an unknown
house. According to the complaint, the officials allegedly threatened the citizens and demanded
Rs. 100,000. The citizens reportedly arranged the money through cash and an online transfer.
According to the FIR, Rs. 50,000 was paid in cash and another Rs. 50,000 was transferred
online. After receiving the money, the officials allegedly returned the citizens to the motorway
and released them.

A case has been registered against the three officials at the CCD Police Station in Lahore.
Police also said the matter is under investigation and further action will follow according to law.
Investigators are expected to examine payment records and statements connected with the
incident. They may also review evidence about the motorway checkpoint and movement of the
citizens. The allegations against the officials have not been proven in court and remain subject
to investigation. Authorities will determine whether available evidence supports the claims made
in the complaint. The incident has raised concerns about citizen safety during police checking
on major roads. It has also highlighted the importance of proper procedures when officers stop
vehicles for investigation. Police authorities said legal action will be taken if wrongdoing is
established during the investigation. The case will remain under review as investigators collect
evidence and record statements. Further legal steps will depend on the investigation findings.
