A teacher at Government Girls High School Anjuman Islamia in Gowalmandi, Lahore, has been
suspended following a complaint involving a ninth-grade female student.

According to the notification, teacher Faiza Ali allegedly gave physical punishment to the
student. The complaint was taken up by the relevant education authorities, who ordered the
teacher’s suspension.

The case has drawn attention to the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful learning
environment for students. Punjab’s School Education Department has previously prohibited
corporal punishment in educational institutions.
