The Lahore bank robbery near Bhatta Chowk has ended with police arresting a suspect after
an investigation. The incident took place at a private bank in South Cantt Lahore on Friday
morning, October 2, 2026. According to police, a masked armed man entered the bank and
threatened security guards during the robbery. The suspect reportedly arrived in a white Honda
Civic and spoke English while carrying out the incident.
Police said the suspect pointed a pistol at one security guard and forced another guard to put
down his weapon. He then moved toward the cash counter and took Rs. 726,000 before leaving
the bank. The suspect also allegedly took two weapons belonging to the security guards during
the robbery.
Police and forensic teams responded after receiving information about the incident and began
collecting evidence from the location. CCTV footage and Safe City cameras helped
investigators trace the suspect’s movements after he left the bank. Police later arrested him
from a housing society.
According to Lahore Police, the suspect was identified as Subhan Ali. Officials said he is a
British citizen who had recently returned to Pakistan from Britain. Police said he arrived in
Pakistan on September 16 and had been living alone in Lahore.
Investigators recovered Rs. 426,000 from the alleged stolen money. Police also recovered two
pistols, a 12-bore rifle and the Honda Civic allegedly used during the robbery. Officials said the
vehicle’s registration number had been covered with black paint.
Police are continuing to investigate how the weapons were obtained and whether anyone else
helped with the robbery. The recovered items have been included in the investigation record.
The case remains under investigation, and the allegations against the suspect will be examined
through the legal process. Further action will depend on evidence collected by authorities.
