The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Lahore Zone has arrested two
suspects in separate cybercrime cases. The suspects are accused of blackmailing a citizen
and recording harmful videos involving two children.
According to an NCCIA spokesperson, the first suspect was identified as Kashif Ali. He was
arrested for allegedly drugging a citizen and recording an objectionable video. The suspect
and his alleged accomplice reportedly used the video to demand money from the victim.
The complainant was identified as Ali Hamza, a resident of Tankpur in Pakpattan.
Investigators said the suspects allegedly gave him a drink containing drugs. After he lost
consciousness, they reportedly recorded a video without his consent.
The suspects later threatened to share the video unless the victim paid them money. During
the investigation, officials examined WhatsApp chats and voice messages. They also
recovered videos and other evidence from a mobile phone.
Kashif Ali was arrested from Chak Shafi in Arifwala tehsil of Pakpattan district. The agency
also seized two mobile phones. One of the phones reportedly contained the SIM card used
in the alleged crime.
In a separate operation, the NCCIA arrested another suspect named Hussam Shahid from
Okara. Investigators reportedly used artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tracking methods
to trace him.
According to preliminary findings, the suspect allegedly recorded and saved videos
involving the sexual exploitation of two minors. He is also accused of encouraging the
children to perform objectionable acts. Investigators said the recordings were stored
privately on his TikTok account.
The agency traced the account through technical analysis and AI-assisted digital
investigation. Officials arrested the suspect and recovered a mobile phone and a SIM card
linked to the account.
Both cases are still under investigation. The seized devices are also being examined by
forensic experts to collect further evidence.
NCCIA Additional Director Atif Ameer said the agency would continue taking action against
people involved in online blackmailing and harassment. He also stressed the importance of
protecting children from online exploitation.
