The foreign woman rape case in Lahore has taken a new turn after a local court sent two
accused men to jail on judicial remand. The accused have been identified as Syed Mohsin Shah
and Syed Ali Zain. Judicial Magistrate Azhar Mahmood issued the order at Cantt Kacheri
Lahore. Both men were presented before the court while in police custody for further legal
proceedings.
According to the court order, police requested a judicial remand after completing their
investigation. The court approved the request and directed authorities to transfer both accused
from police custody to the judicial lockup. The court record states that the names of both men
appear in the First Information Report (FIR) and the complainant’s statements. The order also
notes that the charges against them are non-bailable in nature.
The magistrate directed police to present both accused with a report under Section 173 of the
Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). This report provides details of the investigation and helps
the court determine the next steps in the case. Both accused have been ordered to appear
before the court again on October 27. The case will continue according to legal procedures, and
further developments may emerge during the upcoming hearing.
The judicial remand order does not establish the guilt of either accused. The allegations will be
examined through the legal process, and both men are presumed innocent unless proven guilty
by a court of law.
