Rawalpindi Traffic Police Teach Students Important Road Safety Rules

The Rawalpindi Traffic Police road safety campaign is helping students learn traffic rules and
develop safer habits for everyday travel. City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi are holding
awareness sessions at educational institutions to teach young people how to use roads
responsibly.

Inspector Tahira Kanwal, who leads the Traffic Education Wing, is conducting these sessions
with her team. Their aim is to explain traffic regulations in simple ways and help students
understand why road safety matters.

During the sessions, students learn about traffic signals, zebra crossings, stop lines and seat
belts. These lessons explain how following traffic rules can protect pedestrians and passengers
from dangerous situations.

The Traffic Education Wing also provides practical training through an educational road map.
This activity helps students understand traffic signs and learn how to apply road safety rules in
everyday situations.

Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam said children are the future of the country. He explained that
traffic education is just as important as academic learning because it teaches children to make
safer choices on roads.

He stressed that traffic education should become part of the school curriculum. This would help
every child understand road responsibilities and learn how to protect themselves and others
from road accidents.

Farhan Aslam also said that following traffic laws reflects responsible behaviour in society. He
explained that traffic signs provide important guidance and help people travel safely when they
understand and obey them.

The awareness campaign aims to encourage students to follow traffic regulations throughout
their lives. Learning road safety at an early age can also help children share useful safety
messages with their families and friends.

Rawalpindi Traffic Police have reaffirmed their commitment to continuing road safety education
in schools and other institutions. These efforts aim to build a safer environment for drivers,
passengers and pedestrians across the city.

The campaign highlights the importance of teaching children practical safety skills before they
become regular road users. Better awareness and responsible behaviour can help reduce risks
and support safer travel for everyone.
