The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two suspects and seized a large quantity
of fake branded products during an operation in Lahore. The FIA conducted a raid in Shah Alam
Market and discovered a factory involved in making and selling counterfeit products.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the agency’s Corporate Crime Circle carried out the
operation. During the raid, officials found products being manufactured and sold using the name
of a well-known registered company without its permission.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Nabeel Ayub and Zeeshan. Both were allegedly
involved in producing and selling fake products under the registered company’s brand name.
During the operation, the FIA seized a large quantity of counterfeit products from the factory.
The spokesperson said the suspects were also involved in violations of the Copyright Act.
The FIA took action against the suspects over their alleged involvement in the illegal
manufacturing and sale of fake branded goods. The agency has started further investigations to
collect evidence and examine the full details of the case.

Counterfeit products can damage the reputation of registered brands and create financial losses
for genuine businesses. Such activities can also mislead customers who believe they are
purchasing original products.

The FIA’s operation is part of efforts to address the sale and production of fake branded goods.
Further investigation will help determine the full extent of the alleged illegal business and
identify whether other people were involved.
