LAHORE: Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat visited Government Girls High
School Ladhar for his weekly teaching session. He taught English to fifth-grade students and
wore a teacher’s gown before starting the class.

The minister said he plans to teach Computer Science as an additional subject to the
fifth-grade students next week. He said that although computer studies are not currently part of
the fifth-grade syllabus, children should start learning computer skills at an early age.

During his visit, Rana Sikandar Hayat reviewed the progress of facilities at the school and
introduced new sports kits. He also played badminton and cricket with the students and
directed the school to start regular sports periods. At the request of matric students, he also
gave a lecture in their class.

The minister also distributed chips and juice among all 1,100 students and reminded them to
keep their school clean by putting wrappers in dustbins. The visit focused on education, sports
and improving facilities for students.
